I picked this up for two reasons:

1) I thought it would be great for "research" for the book I'm currently writing, an origin story for Snow White's Evil Queen.

2) I met Marissa Meyer in February, and she is an angel and I want to support her writing.

I now find that I am just reading it because I love it. Period.

Update: I finished the book, and what a fun story it is! It is very YA and very exciting and engaging for the girls who love fairytales. My only note of caution is this: please do not try the audiobook. It left my ears screaming in pain.

Also, is Jest really worth all that? I don’t know. That’s up to the reader, I guess. For me? Not so sure.
