Let me preface this by saying that my rating has nothing to do with how dark the story is. I enjoy dark romance, but this just didn’t hit.

None of the β€œtwists” were surprising to me and there were an almost annoying amount of them.

Sin, the MMC, constantly talks about how he’ll protect Elli, the FMC, but he does a shit job at doing so. Even after knowing everything she’s been through, he continues to lie to her and seems so surprised by how she responds negatively to it.

Elli was fine. My main problem with her is that she has no character development. She never got any better. She never truly stood up for herself unless she was plastered drunk or high. Plus, how many times can someone vomit? How is she even alive?

The smut scenes were good, but by the end they began to feel repetitive and with how many times our FMC is choked out, I became concerned for her brain. LMAO.

So yeah, this was a bit of a rant. However, this book isn’t that bad, but by the end I was just frustrated.

P.S. Why did so many men want to rape her specifically? Is her pussy magic?
