A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
4.0
I can't quite believe I started this book in April... sorry? I've probably read 70-80 books in the meantime. This has been my second choice book for so long and it never quite captured my attention to read it solo. I found the first half to be pretty difficult to get through, I just couldn't get into the politics and preparation. But in the past few weeks I have been determined to get this book finished (by the end of the year!) and progress was finally made. Once the war finally began, the action was intense and I was fully invested in the plot.
It did feel like a crazy amount happened in the last 100 or so pages of the book, which I do find typical of these books. Also it completely caught me off guard again and I cried just like with the other two books. I really adore these characters and their personal developments through each book, this was a solid addition to the series and I am looking forward into continuing on with ACOTAR. I would really like to try Sarah J. Maas' other series too in the future, especially with the release of CC3 next year.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
