Read this popular fantasy novel after first two books of ACOTAR (Sarah Maas) and man if I thought I liked those (2nd more than first TBH), this one was so much better! Both feature strong female protagonist forced into difficult/impossible situations to survive (with negative/missing female/mother figures in their lives)but Violet just is overall less…annoying?whiney? Both?! 😬 and therefore while I like both male main characters in each book, respectively, I feel like I enjoyed Fourth Wing much more than I expected (the dragon thing didn’t appeal to me in the least at first but the bond turns into an interesting part/effect on the storyline).
