Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender

3.0

This was my first book in which the main character was a trans and I was looking forward to learn so much. Books like these are very important because the world simply lacks awareness and is cruel towards people because they don't step inside the box of their 'norm'.

As far as the rep. is concerned, there is no lack of representation in this book and that is the most crucial element of this book. To understand and to feel what trans people go through in everyday life and of course belonging to even further 'categories', being black/asian/non-white makes it even far worse.

Ezra was my favorite character duh! Everyone deserves an Ezra in their life. But honestly, I am surprised Felix didn't entertain the possibility way earlier. Can someone in real life be so indifferent towards someone who clearly shows so much care? Just friends. pfft. Well, all is well that ends well.
Felix? Idk. I didn't like how quick he was to jump to conclusions ( yes even b4 we found out the truth) but that's the plot for you. He is alright.
Leah was amazing. Even though Leah, that's not how hacking works lol. She should just have hacked Austin's fake account lol, why is she hacking all accounts to see who it is. But still, a cool girl :)

What I didn't like >
Honestly, if you make all the characters in this book cis, this book is awful and no one would be reading it. The whole romance was SO cliched, it had my eyes rolling. The writing is 'meh' too. Nothing special.

BUT they are not all cis, so you can pick it up for sure :)
