I loved the meat of Bell's book. Specifically helpful were the historical background of where our contemporary images of heaven and hell originated, and discussion of how far they've strayed from the Bible. His statements rings true. His writing style annoyed me AND I recognized why he used it. He forces the reader to read the book as if it's spoken. Very effective. Very page consuming. I wish he'd used some of the extra space for more Biblical references and complimentary source quotes. I guess that's just the theological nerd in me. I want to read the MDiv level version.
