4.5 Stars! Alright, wow. A fast paced, high stakes continuation to The Wolf of Oren Yaro. I devoured this in a handful of greedy sittings. I found the party banter to be a super effective way to break up the tension that kept brimming in the seemingly endless action, as well as I felt it fostered even deeper connections to characters which I previously had come to adore. This book had me laughing, crying and chewing the absolute hell out of my nail cuticles. It's nearly midnight, and yet I am contemplating diving into the third chronicle for just a few chapters....

Also, I will forever be a Khine stan. What a rare, wholesome idiot.
