I can't say I enjoyed this, but that's probably a me problem. It's tricky; I never know how to evaluate horror novels. Despite a couple attempts to broaden my reading, I dislike horror elements and read this for a challenge. Reading it felt tense and eerie, and I wanted it to be over well before it was. But this is probably a compliment to the novel.
Possibly the middle section of the book lulls a bit, as sequences repeat themselves few times, and it might be that the heroine is characterized as strong willed and active, despite being passively lead along the plot until just before the ending, which is frustrating. Or it might be the above is just necessary for the genre.

Moderate: Domestic abuse, Sexual assault, and Kidnapping
