This book was dumb. The whole time it just went in circles. I did not find anything magical about the magical realism. I don't understand why her big love thing is Monet.  What did Monet do to her? Did they have romance? No. Like yeah she's dead whoopee. That part was the only predictable part. Everything else made zero sense, and not in a cute "it's too mature and complex for me" way, but in a "just throwing anything at a canvas and hoping it sticks" kind of way.
