this book was good, definitely not bad, just not my favourite. 

the pacing was slower than i usually like and i found myself getting bored after like 70 pages, when a lot of the past and background information was given. i did enjoy the information, but it just felt like it dragged on a little too long and i found myself waiting for the third death to be revealed or for the detective to do something interesting. 

i liked that ruby was actually guilty of 3 murders because it made her character grey and i was questioning whether i was rooting for her or not. did i want her to go to prison or not? i came to the conclusion that she didn’t deserve to go to prison, because 1. the first murder was when she was 5 years old. 2. the second was when she was about to get raped so
