Duma Key by Stephen King

The plot got a little hokey for me at times, but for the most part the writing was excellent enough that I didn't care and still enjoyed the journey. I liked spending time in the protagonist's head and it always held my interest. I just can't quite bring myself to bump it to a 4.
The "psychic exposition" is heavy and It think that's a big part of the problem for me. For such a slow burn, it would be nice if there weren't a lot of major plot reveals via some quick & tidy exposition in the dialogue. We don't even really get to 'see' what Edgar sees a lot of the time, especially toward the end. He just comes back from a vision and tells us "I know from my vision / spidey senses that x and y happened and the answer is probably z."
