Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi

This book took a lot of interesting turns that I wasn’t expecting. I’ll be honest, I was very skeptical going into this book b/c I loved the trilogy so much that I was afraid this was going to just be extra unneeded nonsense. Tahereh Mafi crafts the plot in such a way that it doesn’t feel that way though. :) In fact, the story starts off right after what happens at the end of Ignite Me, which helps.
The characters (old and new) were superb. I loved the double POV—Juliette and Warner. It really helped with the way the story was told because it was so complex. The romance is great too. Super sexy. And, occasionally, funny. Also, those plot twists...Nothing else needs to be said other than I started tearing up.
I had some problems with a few of the cliches in the story. I know some of them were necessary and they worked but others, I feel, were weak and didn’t. I would have liked to have had a little more time with Adam and James but it was nice getting to know more about Kenji and Castle. I really do hope though, in the future, we get more family bonding with Adam, Warner, and James.
