Unfortunately a DNF. The white man was wilding. Either cut ties with your family or forgive them. Those are your options. It had been YEARS since it happened. Get over it. Maybe I’m being harsh but he was so obsessed with being the victim.

I thought maybe the story would move on from this narrative but I skimmed and it’s like the main plot. How can this be a romance when he’s obsessed with his ex for most of the book? The heroine deserved better. Every woman does. I wanted her to get away from him tbh.

I hear the third book in this series is much better and it’s on my list to read so I will try that book and see.
