This was the most beautiful book. A glorious retelling of the myth of Achilles and Patroclus. The love story was sweet and tender and I wished their happiness could have lasted forever. But alas they were always fated to fight the Trojan War with tragic consequences. I loved the way elements of the myth (such as the story of Briseis) were altered. One of my favourite mythical retellings. Beautiful!
