The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
challenging
dark
informative
slow-paced
5.0
Nasty, brutish, long… and necessary. Absolutely essential reading.
With a handful of exceptions, these laws are all neutral. It’s what you DO with them that determines whether you’re good or evil.
And even if you never wish to behave like some of the characters featured in this book, you need to understand how people like this operate.
Because the people in power (or seeking it) operate within these laws and will use them to manipulate YOU. (A certain former president under multiple indictments has made an art of Law 27: Play on people’s need to believe to create a cult-like following…)
Learn the laws…or ignore them at your own peril.
