Hands Down by Mariana Zapata

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
I've tried finishing this book multiple times...but it seems that I wil have to DNF before I end up in a year-long reading slump...this 2 month one was enough for me.

This novel contains the story of Bianca Brennen(an youtuber with a cooking chanel that still works as a receptionist at a gym) and Zac Travis(famous football player and childhood friend to Bianca), as they try to mend their friendship after a decade of radio-silence...great concept, really poor execution.

Unfortunately, Bianca is sooo insecure that she literally believes she will always get ditched by everyone, regardless of motif/ counter-arguments,etc... >..> She's good on camera, but she's endlessly surprised by compliments and trust put in her, she's infantile and hold a grudge simply becuase Zac had a different life...news slash honey...everyone does! And Zac... a walking Texas guy stereotype who only sees Bianca as a little girl....I cannot buy the promise that they will end up together....gross...

I cannot believe Zapata wrote this sorry excuse of a romance...and these laughable protagonists...what happened????

Anyway, for those of you interested, here is a list of things regarding this novel:
-poor character development on both MCs
-horrible stereotypes
-Protagonist is a doormat who cannot take a compliment or believe in herself
-the plot keeps on dragging with no actual development
-as a positive: some interesting info about being a youtuber, with an accent on the cooking world, but greatly underutilized
-no other memorable characters, with the exception of Zac's ex girlfriend from highschool who is the culprit in their growing apart issue....>.>

I think these are enough to justify me DNF-ing this book.I'm dissapointed but other better books await me!
