Another great SJM work but the smut was almost too much. I wish there was more apparent interest between the two MCs beyond just the spicy stuff. I didn't love that the smut was such a main event when so many other things were happening that felt like they needed attention first. SJM is well known for her smut, and for good reason, but it's starting to feel like she thinks that's the main reason people read her stuff, so she's including more and more. In some parts it feels like the sex matters more than the plot and I actually skimmed it a few times so I could get on with the rest of the story. It's a great book with a lot of fun and interesting characters and foreshadowing, I really love the story, I just wish the smut wasn't in the foreground as often as it is in this one.
