Paramedic Trauma
A review of the Scirocco Drama paperback (October 1, 2016).

I recently saw Vitals in a 10th anniversary revival performance at Peterborough's New Stages theatre with original lead actor Katherine Cullen recreating her performance from 2014. The monologue follows the life of a Toronto paramedic as they navigate various emergency calls while juggling partners and walking into often horrendous situations. The play and performance was as mesmerizing and haunting as ever.

The New Stages performance was in front of a standard theatre audience. The original 2014 staging was held in a private house in Toronto with the limited size audience walking through various rooms while following the actor. The play was eventually adapted as a feature film as well.
