Brothersong follows eldest Bennett brother, Carter, and his proposed mate, Gavin. Gavin, the son of evil rogue witch and wannabe wolf, Robert, and the younger brother of Green Creeks witch and crumadgen, Gordo. Gavin, at one time, was a feral Omega wolf, under the power of an evil religious zealot that came to destroy the Bennett Clan in book 2. These days, he’s less feral but, still rough around the edges, in speech and actions. At the end of book 3, he was taken by his father, and has since been used by him to sustain his power. This is a painful process for Gavin, but he believes if he stays with Robert in this capacity, it keeps Robert away from Green Creek and hurting people. Carter, isn’t ready to face that Gavin may be his mate, but he does know that Gavin is his friend and needs his help. Carter is chasing Gavin to drag him back to Green Creek if he has to. Carter’s baby brother, Kelly, is chasing him, to drag him back to Green Creek, if he has to.

Pros: The story that unfolds between Carter and Gavin is the hardest one yet. Carter has lived the life of a straight man up to this point. Not hating on anyone else’s choice but not identifying as a gay man. We follow him as his feelings for Gavin bloom into something greater and he has to wrestle with what that means for him. Gavin has been a loner his whole life, mother murdered by his brother’s mother, rejected by the pack, and somehow turned omega, he has never had family. Gavin has to learn to trust Carter and what it means to be a member of a pack.
