It's been more than 3 years since I read this story, so I had to reacquaint myself before I read the sequel next. It's just as heartwarming and wholesome as I remembered. The characterisation is lovely for most of the group, and Linus's arc is predictable but satisfying. The writing is simple and realises a bit too heavily on recurring themes like song lyrics to weave its web, but the overall vibe is strong. There's nothing subtle about the plot but it does deliver on emotion and heart.
