Ugh, this didn’t work for me at all. I absolutely loved Daisy Darker, but haven’t been able to find another hit with this author.

I was initially intrigued by the setup of a writer’s wife mysterious disappearance and the remote island setting, but the rest was a mess. Everything about the plot was soooo unbelievable and the twists were (quickly frankly) ridiculous. I didn’t like any of the characters (which was probably the point to be fair), but it prevented me from caring about anything that happened to them.

On the plus side though, I absolutely flew to through this and never felt the urge to DNF it. I read this physically, but have a feeling I would have liked this more on audio.

FYI - dog is a good boy and isn’t harmed at all!!
