I read this twenty years ago when it first hit library shelves, and again recently. It's a very funny, biting, and relatable look into the near future when the moon is a boring tourist trap and everyone communicates with the iPhone in their heads. The best parts of Idiocracy with some great speculative scifi, it really doesn't feel like a YA novel.
