5 Why the Hell Not Stars!
You know, I’ve given out the best boyfriend award to a very precious few, but I think it’s time to whip it out again and award this coveted prize to Jamie Cooper, because hot damn!! This guy?! Ah-may-zing. I kid you not. If anyone was going to change a seemingly straight Theo to the other side, it was going to be Jamie, and he did it with kindness, charm, confidence, and caring. Unf. I mean, seriously?? This guy is obviously a work of fiction, he was so freakin perfect.
Despite the utter farfetched cluelessness of Theo, what makes this a rare 5 stars is the writing. Just when I wanted to throttle Theo and Anyta for the gawd awful torturous slow burn, Anyta deftly makes Theo lovably irresistible, and my cold heart continued to thaw, making it to where I didn’t blame Jamie one bit for falling so hard. These two dance, and it was antagonistic, playful, fun, funny, vulnerable and intimate. Despite my mind boggling frustration, I couldn’t help but like them both! Well, I like Theo. I love Jamie. *dreamy sigh*
So though this had a few niggles, the genius snark showcasing the evolution of their relationship was impressive. It was also chock full of hard earned emotions, and thankfully, Anyta doesn’t short change us on the sweet sexy.
All in all, very enjoyable, making me swoon multiple times over my latest book boyfriend. Hands off!!
