Nostalgic review of the old cartoon Christmas special. The book includes parts of the tale that are (wisely) trimmed from the song. All’s well and Christmasy until the kids start asking questions like, “who let that guy be a coach?” and “who gets stuck with the square-wheeled train?” The danger climax is deescalated in a most unique and unexpected twist.
