Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

5.0

I've never cried because a book was so sweet, but I suppose there's a first time for everything, and this was it! I also cried because of sadness, though I did remember that it was coming. I read this book my freshman year of high school, and I absolutely loved it, and the fourteen years since then haven't changed that at all. The best word for this story is sweet. Anne is an absolute darling, Marilla grew to be such a wonderful lady, Diana was a doll, and there are really no words kind enough for Matthew. Such a gorgeous story!
