Sword Art Online 7: Mother's Rosary by Reki Kawahara

4.0

Another great instalment of Sword Art Online.

This book focuses on Asuna and her mini adventure with a small group of friends.

There were the usual Kirito achieving the impossible moments which are always the highlight of the series as he wows the onlookers with something only he could do. In this novel we have him slicing through magic spells, just a pixel in size.

The new party were a great temporary addition and each character was well fleshed out with their own unique personality. Their connection to each other and their joint motivation was clear and well represented.

It was nice to see Asuna grow throughout the book from Yuuki’s experiences and finally gain the courage to connect with her mother. Along with this, there were a few other good moments throughout the book that were both heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once.

Overall, I really enjoyed the read and look forward to the next book.
