I have postponed a review, because after I finished it I was mourning the series after almost a decade, AGAIN! But this is a solid 5 stars.
How can I describe it? Nostalgic, lovely and refreshing.
I loved how Edward had the opportunity to explain his behavior that were only speculations before, like his need to overprotect Bella, more reasons to hate Rose, family drama and history and also, his love for Bella as if they were just regular adolescents and how he described Bella about how actually people sees her and not the low self-esteem version in the other books, their conversations and the cute side of their first love without all the drama we lived in Twilight.
Probably would recommend this book to everyone’s that was #TeamEdward and loves romance, because Edward here was more charming than ever.
Finished this book so quickly, it was very much a needed book, partially because of the teasers in the past but also because I’ve always felt like Edward was always seen as just a creepy stalker, his struggles here made much more sense to his actions in the original saga but as well, I fell in love even more with him.
After I’ve finished it, I needed to take some days off to process what happened and then ro make a review. Even if now as an adult I enjoy healthy romantic relationships and more empowered female MCs, Edward will be always my first book boyfriend and leaving the toxicity behind, this was one of the sweetest books I’ve read.
Do I want more books about the other books? YES! And likely it will not happen, but Edward’s thoughts about Breaking Dawn would be priceless, my poor baby. AND, I hate that Stephanie Meyers included religious content again, maybe she tried to pull it off differently but it just seems really bad.
I mean, I could go on a on without spoiling anything because this book deserves all the hype and I’m just obsessed reminiscing the past.
