Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

Ah, the book where things really start getting dark...

It's amazing how much you kind of forget Harry's full angst period when just referring to the movie. No mention of Ron and Hermione being Prefects, and Quidditch was completely removed from this film. It also makes me kind of sad at how little screen time Fred and George have, since they are a constant presence in the books, as is Dobby who is only in CoS and Deathly Hallows in the movies. Although the HP series is my favorite book to movie adaptation EVER, there are some glaringly missing subjects and themes, which just increases my love for the books every time I read them.

Not going to lie, I think this might be my least favorite book in the series. Not only because Sirius dies (I will forever be crying internally no matter how many times I read it) but because it feels like what a sequel usually feels like in a trilogy. It's the book where not really a lot of huge plot things happen, but everything is building up to what is to come. Which I will totally admit kind of needs to happen somewhere along the line for any series, so I just think that this is the book for the HP series. But I will always give all of these books 5 stars.

Onto the Half-Blood Prince!
