I haven't read this series in so long and I certainly have never actually articulated my thoughts. Reading this again felt like coming home. I loved how the series was set up and how Percy, Annabeth, and Grover immediately went on a quest. It was full of action, intrigue, heart, friendship, and so much more. Percy's first-person POV was perfect and he was so full of sass—I loved it. The other characters are so complex too. I also enjoy how this series takes place both in the fantasy world and the real world. I'm obsessed with these books and can't wait to dive back into the rest of the books.
