I thought this was going to be a cute Christmas romance I was going to fall in love with and it ended up being Christmas slop. I know exactly that the author was trying to do but it just missed the mark. I didn’t care about any of the characters or the romances. It felt like I was being force fed these love stories. They were supposed to be sweet and heart warming but I just never actually felt that. It just felt completely forced and for BOTH romances to feel this way is a bit crazy. Clover and Beth were kinda just thrown together. Knox and Bea were just there. None of these storylines made me feel anything. These characters didn’t feel like real people like there was no growth or deep characterization that made me root for these people or care at all. Also this book was less than 300 pages and by page 180 I wanted it to be over which just describes how J feel about this book perfectly.
