4.5 stars — This one lived up to its title — there was a lot of heart in it.

I seriously ACHED for both Stacey and Pashov. How strange and trying would it be from both their perspectives? I honestly can’t imagine, but I could connect with *both* sides. I will admit, I lost patience with both of them at times for not seeing things from another perspective (Stacey maybe a smidge more), but they did eventually open their eyes and grow. It was definitely filled with some moments where communication would have helped, but it obviously didn’t bother me too much, since I’m likely only going to round down as a result.

The thing is that it brought such a different dynamic to their story. It was equal parts heartbreak and joy to read. I loved getting glimpses of them in the past, and I loved seeing them slowly reconnect in the now. The light parts made me smile sooooo much, it just made my heart so happy to see them both trying and eventually succeeding at showing the other what they meant.

I think part of it is that, once they got down to it, they had a great connection that had a strong foundation of friendship and humour at its core. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the steam was strong my friends. But I loved the teasing and easy way they were with one another.

And I finally got to see the tribe settle! I think I can finally take a break until the next time I need a guaranteed pick me up.
