Wonderful book about those who go missing in the wilderness. Billman's ability to evoke place and person is just incredible, beautiful, and heartbreaking. I haven't been reading nonfiction this year, but the premise hooked me and The Cold Vanish reminded me of how much I love great nonfiction.
