The Christmas Baking Cookbook: 'Tis the Season for 100+ Festive Treats by Editors of Cider Mill Press

4.0

A pretty great cookbook for all sorts of Christmas time baked goods! It's split into several categories, such as Cookies, Cakes, Pies./Tarts, and Other. The recipes are from an assortment of cultures, which is very nice. I was excited to see a recipe for Pferrenusse, as I had a family member recently asked if I could bake some for Christmas. The only small thing that's annoying is that everything is done in weight measurements, not cups. I know that using weight to measure out ingredients such as flour or butter is "more accurate" than using the cups system, but if you don't have a scale you're a bit out of luck for many recipes in this book. The back of the book does have a conversion table, but it's for Imperial to Metric.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review! (less)
