The themes of migration and life and travelling were all interesting - and I understand that the book was drawn out and tiresome bc the people were too and there was no necessary definitive end to their journey … but oh my god I wish it had been cut down to 300 pages or something.  I deffo preferred east of Eden a lot more, and this felt quite sluggish at times to get through, but I understand it’s value.
