Oooo chiiillleee I wasn’t ready! I’m not sure what I thought this story was but this was a gut wrenching surprise for sure. I really enjoy his writing style and story telling, there’s a couple more books of his I hope to read soon.
I saw one review say this is this generations Roots and yes yes and yes!!! Now middle grade, I can see how and why but the overarching umbrella is a tough topic and would definitely read with care. There are fairly graphic moments that I would probably gauge this morning highschool age-late teens. And I heard this will be a series so I’m definitely excited to continue this story..
