I say this with every new release in the Motham City Monsters series, but Lilith Stone just keeps ramping up the steaminess and beauty between her main characters. After getting minotaurs, orcs, and gargoyles, it almost seemed too basic to feature a werewolf in this installment of the series, but I ended up loving Max and the journey he went on.
Both Max and Charlie were well-developed characters on a similar journey. I loved that they were both doing well professionally, yet had so much to work through personally if they wanted a chance to move on and heal from their pasts. Charlie and Max might just have my favorite working dynamic of all the Motham City main characters, and I loved how they worked together both professionally and personally. It was easy to fall in love with both of these characters, even before they started falling in love with each other.
The Wolf Professor was an easy read with a slow burn for most of the story, culminating in some good spice towards the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and plot, and thought that Max's research added a lot to the overarching Motham City storyline in the series.
