Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry

dark emotional medium-paced

3.75

My rating is not based on content, but more so tone, writing and my overall feelings about the book. Diving deep into Matthew Perry's struggle was intense and heavy, yet he was able to weave humor and lightness throughout. I thought there was some repetitiveness and I was having trouble keeping track of the timelines at points. While I know it's Perry's own personal account. the writing was a little dry. I felt like I learned a lot and I can understand more of the addiction from a firsthand perspective. Overall, I liked this one, but it just didn't fully pull me in as I'd hoped.
