How Not to Be Wrong: The Power of Mathematical Thinking by Jordan Ellenberg

This book took me a lot longer to get through than I initially assumed it would, but I found that I really enjoyed the topic matter through the bulk of it. A significant problem for me in mathematics is not knowing why I am doing it or being unable to see why people are generally drawn to the subject. I understand why people love physics, chemistry, biology, etc., but math has always escaped me for some reason. Throughout this book, the author managed to convey that passion and the practical reasons one should be interested in the various subfields he presented.
The book was very much worth the read, especially if math isn't your primary discipline.
