To be honest, I thought it started off a little slow. But once it got going, I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish it. Feyre is a mortal caught up in a battle of the immortals. This book was a revamped retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Can Feyre break the curse put on High Lord of the Spring Court, Tamlin, or will her humanness cost them all their lives. There were so many moments of action, I would be holding my breath to see it play out. Then there is the entrance of Rhysand - High Lord of the Night Court. Honestly, at first I thought he was a complete malicious jerk. But he is such a beautifully complicated character. You come to see he is doing what he can and what he must to ensure that as many as can, survive. I think this book only scratches the surface of Rhys and I can’t wait to dive into the next book to get more!
