Fluid as all Stephen King's writing, I wish the characters had felt more connected to one another. The beginning between Charlie and his dad / Mr B was the best dynamics in the book, but a lot of the others fall flat with Charlie just being so - meh. His emotions don't come through as much as I wanted to feel immersed.
