The writing is gorgeous, the world building is delightful and dark and and intriguing, the plot (while slow--achingly at points) is plenty twisty. It is exactly what the pitch says: a gothic fairytale, and a really good one at that. I just wanted a slightly bigger pay off and few more answers.
