“When did you first realize you’re not normal?”
Jane and Thalia met at Oxford’s Creative Writing program and became best friends. Jane was jealous of Thalia’s beauty and talent but needed to be close to her. After a traumatizing night, Thalia left Oxford and Jane behind and never looked back. 9 years later, Jane is unhappy with her life in the Bay Area. She’s a struggling midlist author stuck in a failing marriage. She finds Thalia, who is now a bestselling author, and decides to track her down at her next author event. She packs her bags for New York City and vows that she will never lose Thalia again.
🍐Bite-size Review: The first half felt a little slow, but I was totally consumed by Jane’s unhinged thoughts about her old friend Thalia. I was creeped out by her obsessive jealousy and read each chapter with raised eyebrows, shaking my head, quietly whispering “what theeee”. I’m Not Done with You Yet is a psychological thriller about female friendship, sociopathy, and obsession. It is chockfull of unlikable characters, dark humor, and insane twists. WOW, I could not put it down and there were several “WHAT DID I JUST READ?!” moments. If you are a fan of thrillers that are a little weird, I would recommend! I had a lot of fun with this book, thank you to @oliviadaywallace for the push to read it! I can’t wait to pick up Jesse Q. Sutanto’s next thriller, You Will Never Be Me (publishes this summer)!
