Conceptually fascinating with lots of important ideas, and I appreciated the rigorous arguments with really thorough referencing etc., but the writing had room for improvement. The beginning felt like some kind of cheesy sales pitch, and then later on it got quite bland which was a shame because it managed to make some exciting ideas sound kind of boring, hence me taking so long to finish it. Anyhow, I'm glad I persisted because the actual content was very helpful, and I definitely expect to be flicking back through it from time to time as a reference tool.
