The Rebel by Kendall Ryan
4.0
Eden seems to want one thing but life sometimes has a way of changing things. Holt’s life just may change as well. This book has come out at the perfect time since the smell of sports is in the air.
I loved how the author took on the idea of putting a woman in charge of a sports team. Yes, that is the center of the story but she didn’t attempt to glamorize it and she showed the challenges that comes with the position. That includes both personal and business. She also does a good job at blending the two and not letting one overtake the other. And if you like stories about second chances then this may be a good fit for you.
We have a good mix of sweet and heat. It’s a great combination mixed with the challenges that can come with being in the public eye. I found myself getting so sucked into what was going on that everything else around me just faded into the background. Depending on how your day is going, you could finish the book in one day – two tops. Our author is sneaky too. She gives the reader a great ending and a mystery at the same time. Now we have to wait for the next book to see if it gets solved.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
