Promise Me Not by Meagan Brandy
3.0
Good not great. It’s honestly the same as how I felt about book one, Say You Swear, in the Boys of Avix series. Just a tad too long, and a lot of emotional build up but for a short climactic ending. I found myself just anxious and frustrated the whole time wanting to knock some sense into these angsty college kids! Once you get like 85% through though, it heats up and all is right in the romance world!
Mason is in love with Payton and her son. Payton is still in love with her ex boyfriend who passed away. Her and Mason become best friends, but when her feelings change to something more, she feels major guilt. When she pushes Mason away his college football career takes a downward spiral, while her photography career starts to take off. Will his persistence pay off? Let’s sure as heck hope so!
