The trigger warnings overshadowed the plot in the first and second books, which I hated. The sexual assault/abuse of the men and the extreme (and explicit) pedophilia of young children were so incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary to read, seemed like it was just written for shock factor and not to move the plot forward.
Loved the third book when the plot finally took precedence over the sexual abuse (hence the 2 stars), but it seemed to end too abruptly. I can’t in good conscience recommend this to anyone.
