I will start off saying that this was so much fun to listen to! The narrators did a fantastic job with telling the story in such a way where you felt immersed in Emma and Dan’s world. This story starts off with Emma losing her job, breaking up with her boyfriend all while grieving her grandparents passing. However, because of what was left on her grandparents will, she is left with a farm a few hours outside of Atlanta that she is left to take care of. She has to decide whether she wants to keep or sell it. This is how she meets Dan, who is a horticulturalist and farm manager as well as her new roommate. As her time on the farm goes by, Emma starts to learn about the history of Green Acres and what it meant to her grandparents while uncovering some of its secrets.
I felt immersed within the townspeople, like I was there sitting in the booth at the diner. The story flows very well and didn’t feel rushed. It didn’t really leave anything out and was cohesive. The romance was so adorable and Dan is such a great caretaker and partner to Emma. If you like small town and fluffy romances, I definitely think you would like this one. They had really balanced chemistry and even though they had some mishaps, it didn’t disrupt the flow of the story. I adored their relationship and the epilogue made me swoon. I really enjoyed this and I would honestly listen to it again.
