The Roommate Risk by Talia Hibbert

3.0

Another book I read while traveling! If you've ever read Talia Hibbert you'll know the spice is ✨ immaculate ✨ and we love a secure plus size heroine. But outside of that, this one just didn't hit for me.
Spoilers ahead!
I hate a third act breakup, but at least this one felt right? Both main characters were flawed people who needed to work on themselves. But in this case the reunion didn't feel earned. Like they were apart for 2 months then were like it's different now? Girl please. Jasmine was in therapy and also fully admitted she was an alcoholic? She needed much more time than 2 months to get her life together. And I was really invested in seeing Rahul grow and actually grieve but then that just didn't happen? I think the book would have been more successful with a longer separation or even as a right person wrong time story. And then you didn't even get the payoff of seeing them talk about these deep issues. Just an epilogue where they're married with a kid
