A must-read if you're interested in our cultural fascination of hauntings and ghost stories. Mad props to Dickey for discussing black, coastal/Southern ghost stories and other haunted oral histories during the WPA era. This is not a component of America's haunted history that gets much/any attention and I was delighted to see it here.
