I liked this book, but was a little disappointed with some of the character development for the protagonist, Patience. When we last left her, she was an atheist. When we return to her, she's church going and no explanation is ever given. That was the most glaring example of the lack of development for this character, but in general I felt like she could have had more depth in this book.
